Charles Brown

Crosstown Blues Band
Waited So Long To Love You
(self-released)

Crosstown Blues Band: Waited So Long To Love You (Self-Released) This album is the debut release of a blues band that is currently working out of Oklahoma City. The band features Rusty Traywick on vocals and lead guitar, Dave Higgins on bass, Don McPherson on drums, Jimmy Rogers on second guitar and Charles Pine on keyboards. Judging from the sound of this CD, Eric Clapton has been a major influence on the bands music. The band covers four songs that have been previously recorded by Clapton such as "Reconsider Baby" and "Some Day After Awhile." The band has also included five songs written by Traywick. His original compositions run the gamut from hard rocking blues to minor key ballads. Fans of Clapton's From The Cradle and hard rocking blues artists such as Corey Stevens will enjoy the Crosstown Blues Band. If you are in Oklahoma City and want to catch some live blues check out the Crosstown Blues Band if you get the chance. The band can be reached at www. angelfire.com/ok/CTB.
