Bluestronomical Publishing Inc. brings you Southwest Blues Magazine in
hard copy each and every month. The publisher and editor is Joanna Iz.
Southwest Blues is a monthly magazine and webzine, focusing on Blues
artists of the greater U.S. southwest. Our hard copy circulation has expanded past the
regional target area and now includes international subscriptions. We feature and
spotlight many recording artists signed with major labels and also local artists that
deserve the recognition after years of paying their dues. Southwest Blues also features
original artwork on the cover each month. The following columns are what you have in store
each month:
The Monthly Calendar page in the middle section, portrays the club dates
and artists each night. The calendar is intended to be pulled out and may be hung up for
quick reference. Each month we highlight the calendar from contributed art work or
pictures of festivals and shows.
CD and DVD Reviews, ranging from Blues to Jazz and Gospel give an
insight into what is new out there for the blues lovers, old and new.
The Bluesical Notes (The Gossip Column) column brings you important news
of what's happening around the southwest and what to mark your calendar for.
Music Box reflects information as to what the artists are doing, such as
who is on tour, in the recording studio and new CD's being released.
One Night Stand is a review of road show's that have recently visited
the
southwest area.
Chittlin' Circuit by Miss Blues are recipes from her book "Hoe
Cakes &
Collard Greens," which is a book of recipes and black history combined.
Travel Advisory is a listing of upcoming festivals.
